Under the proven motto “Lights, Scents, Sounds”, the cultural association “Laubenkomitee – OK Glurnser Advent” organizes the Glurns Advent.

Set against a medieval backdrop and within a unique atmosphere, the event will once again be tranquil, romantic, cozy, and enchanting this year. Glurns becomes traffic-free, welcoming, and relaxed, as we invite you to enjoy the Advent season in the western part of South Tyrol, in our small town, during the month of December – away from hustle and bustle.

Once again, an extraordinary time can be expected. Instead of Christmas music played through loudspeakers, more than 20 music groups and alphorn players will provide the musical accompaniment to the Glurns Advent over three days.

Advent reflections will also be offered by various choirs and musicians in the parish church, as well as open singing in the women’s church. The theatre group will perform a Christmas play, setting the mood for the upcoming Christmas season.

Surrounded by illuminated city walls and towers, 45 market stalls will be set up in the main square and along the arcaded streets. Visitors can enjoy regional products, handicrafts, and much more.

Children can look forward to pre-Christmas crafting, fairy-tale storytelling, and puppet theatre. The food stalls will treat visitors to culinary specialties and warm drinks.

Visit the Glurns Advent and enjoy a few days of peace and contemplative Advent atmosphere. Experience pre-Christmas culture without kitsch or embellishment in our town: simple and authentic!
